Publishing Public Sector Information: new advice released

AGIMO has released new advice on publishing public sector information (PSI) on the Web Guide. The new advice, prepared in consultation with the Government 2.0 Steering Group, provides agencies with a practical guide to making information available online for public access and reuse (subject to privacy, security and other relevant concerns).

Finance comments on draft open licensing guidelines

A few weeks ago, the Attorney-General’s Department (AGD) used a guest post on this blog to seek feedback on draft public sector information(PSI) licensing guidelines for Australian Government agencies. The new guidelines will play an important role in helping agencies adopt open licences to encourage reuse of PSI.

Following the Australian Government’s response to the Government 2.0 Taskforce in May 2010, AGD and other agencies have undertaken a range of work to encourage greater open access to public sector information (PSI) owned or generated by Government agencies.
